i have a stack of postcards that i found while thrifting that are filled in - as in they were sent to people in the past and somehow ended up at the thrift store. i was intrigued by the little peeks into the lives of people around the world that these old postcards provided me, spanning over several decades and locations around the world.
i've censored addresses for safety purposes, and i will try my best to transcribe the messages accurately. feel free to contact me for any revisions, or if one of these postcards is yours and you would like me to take it down.
enjoy :)

Tues. May 1/90. Greetings from Wales - We’ve been in N. Wales since Sat. & are having a great time. Weather is superb - hot & sunny (20-25). We’re getting a bit of a sun burn. We have a powerful luxury car (exec. model we’re told). The tourist bureau put us onto a delightful BNB. It’s in the Conway Valley, up a narrow, windy country lane. It’s beautiful, huge & so well furnished. The English couple who own it are very friendly & helpful. WE’re off to ride the "wee" train up Mt. Snowdon tomorrow. It’ll be hard to return to big, noisy London next week. Regards to all. Shiela

Sept 28/77. Hi Everyone! Well, I am now a much travelled person. London, southern England, Paris and now Switzerland. It really does look like the picture. Wea re staying near this town at Rose’s aunt’s home. The view is lovely from the living room window - hills, fields, an orchard. Went to Zurich for shopping this morning and to the Rhinefalls this afternoon. They are beautiful. Eleanor
